Have u ever heard an album that made u want to go out and buy every album that band has previously released??? if so then Iced Earths new album will do that to new coming fans and just plain noobs to the band... ive been a fan of Iced Earth's since they was formely called Pergatory back in the early 80's... when i heard that their newest album would deal with the civil war i couldnt contain myself being a war buff and all... and i must say i was very very pleased... this album delivers history in a rage of metal riffs and arpegios... this album definitly delivers...

I give it a 5/5...

Well, it definitely beats Horror Show. I think Schaffer went in the right direction with this album. Although I miss Barlow, I must say they found a formidable replacement for him. Although Halford isn't one of my favorite vocalists(although good), and therefore Ripper isn't either, really.

Anyway, the highlights for me were:

1. Gettysburg Trilogy
2. Declaration Day
3. Valley Forge
4. The Reckoning
5. When the Eagle Cries
