Well in MK you are asically trying to kill your female opponent so they don't really have time to stare at them. They have to kill them.

Why the MK team has gone one step closer to porno bothers me. I hope MK doesn't get any worse than coffin GT in the next game. MK: SM already has three skanks in it and their attires happen to be worse. I know sex appeal attracts male fans but SO WHAT! This game is about fighting, blood and gore. Look at where the WWE is heading with their divas. If MK goes the same way then it won't be long before it gets an AO rating, let alone kill of the MK world that we all love and know.

Here is what the ladies should wear:

- Ashrah: She needs to wear lots of clothes as she is becoming holy. Just don't make her look like Raiden.
- Kitana: She could be improved a little. Give her a proper princess look. But I just hope they don't make her into a "blue Mileena" for MK7.
- Jade: Her ninja outfit is good. She should look like a proper guard. If MK still wants to go with the amazon look they could give her an attire similar to the Diablo II amazon.
- Mileena: This is the toughtst one because of her mouth. She is a butterface so she might be the only woman to get away with being a slut. Maybe she can sorta keep her prtimary MK: D attire but also give her the old school attire as well.
- Tanya: She can keep her costumes. She's okay.
- Sindel: She is terrible. She needs something totally different. A royal queen/hero like armour might suit her. Of course purple happens to be her trademark though.
- Kira: Her chest is too big for her. It contradicts her storyline as well. If you were dressed as a man in Afganistan then how did she hide her boobs? She should be dressed up like a street thug. Maybe she could even dress up like how they dress up in Afganistan.
- Li Mei: I like her second attire so they should head that way with her. She needs to look more soilder like. To be honest her ass is ugly and fat lol.
- Nitara: This one is hard as she is a vampire. She needs to lose the wings though. Maybe she could wear a robe, cloak or a cape to hide her vampire identity. Then she could start tricking people and turn really evil.
- Frost: She is part of the Lin Quei so she needs a ninja like outfit. But she can't look like a Sub-Zero clone.
- Sonya: She can keep her military style outfits. Except her MK: DA one. As a lieutenant she shouldn't have a thong like thing up her ass.
- Sheeva: I don't know. She is a Shokan and they wear skimpy things. Maybe she could wear armour so she can look more powerful and look more intimidative.

I know some pervert is gonna yell at me for this , but yeah, this is my point!

You can ask that same question for almost every other video game ever made.
Sex sells. I don't know who's buying games for skanky women, but that's the principle.

The only ones in Mortal Kombat who have an excuse are Mileena and Sheeva. Mileena's trying to draw attention away from her face and all Shokan, male or female, seem to wear thongs.

It doesn't even seem practical. I mean common sense wise no one is going to battle with a two piece. (yeah I know, its a video game, but still). Definitely not the wisest thing to do, when you have guys wielding swords, axes, maces around. That's like saying Sub-Zero is going to fight in a speedo.

Sex sells? I'm gonna write that one down.

And yeah, it's classic for many fighting games, like Chun Li from Street Fighter, others from Soul Calibur. But there are the exceptions, like (the new) Sonya

Since everyone has their own opinion of what is 'decent' and what they feel the female fighters should wear... the sensible thing to do would be to include characters from each of these opinions.

Have some in... for the lack of a better term, skanky costumes.
Have some in a moderate category. Some sex appeal, but not to the 'skank' point.
And then have some who aren't really about sex appeal at all.

This would really solve my own personal issues with these overly sexed characters. As long as you have a balance of character appearances, I would personally be able to tolerate the dressing better.

I agree with all of you ,i would like to see the women more dressed up since they would catch a hell of a cold walk through all the cold places.

These are the 2 biggest mistakes on trying to make some kombatants sexy:

Sindel: She's old a shes been put in a skanky outfit!

Sheeva: first time i played MK 3 i thought she was man or a shemale!!

Peanut_Butter_Jelly MK is so far from getting a AO rating. and they arent dumb enuff to even make it an AO game since then it wouldnt even come out (Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo dont allow those games on their consoles in America. and most stores if not all stores wouldnt sell it). and for it to even get an AO rating even ways they would have to give Baraka a Friendship finisher that has him go sexually rape Mileena or whome ever female fighter (only works on females otherwise its just gay) and u see full frontal nudity. and its not the nudity that even would make it AO. its the sex that u actually get to watch that would make it AO.

although like i said they arent dumb enuff to even do any thing like that. but yea the only way a game gets rated AO to my knowlege is that in the game u actually have sex and see every thing. not like in God of War u have sex with these 2 girls but u dont actually see then doing it. u just press the buttons it tells u to complete the mini game. but still theres tons of nudity in that game and still rated M.

so like i said MK is far away from being rated AO. there isnt even full frontal nudity in it yet! so dont jump the gun

so that sales will double because of nerds who have never touched a woman in their lives....

Dude I could care less about scantaly-clad women in MK. I actually encrouage it. Face it, the game would be boring as hell if every woman was covered up in ugly dike clothing. I mean the men are covered up enough. All the chicks have hot bodies and they should be able to show off their goods. Plus, what everyone else is saying... SEX SELLS. I don't see anyone complaining about Dead or Alive or Soul Calibur's women, c'mon now has anyone noticed the Taki's nipples can cut glass? Or that Tina's tit's should tear away from her body with all that bouncing? There are games sluttier than MK.

Lets face it, the world need half and fully naked woman to be cool, my only complain is that Sonya in MK:DA is Ugly, her 3d is bad.. And Sindel in MK:D doesnt have a Jaw(in the Pre-Rendered graphics), Other than that the girls are ok :P

I agree that there are a lot of half naked women everywhere and that encourages it, but what if there's some reason in the story? What if, for instance, dressing like that makes male warriors think they're weak so they try to fight them but then the womens' true skills are revealed. Ya never know, it could just be a trap to draw in opponents.

I don't know what it is with martial arts chicks, but it seems that provocative clothing does two things, depending on the characters:

1) it gives them a type of deadly innocence, cute but lethal, i.e. SC2 girls(Xiang Hua, Cassandra)

2) it gives them a seductive yet deceiving look about them, a fatal attraction in a sense, i.e. MK girls (Mileena, Li Mei, Jade)

Either way, the less clothes, the more....feminine they look.

If the women dressed like men, then it would look boring..

And, to answer some people's questions, if the men stopped to looked at the women, they'd face death teh next second, think about it, an erection isn't worth dying for unless you're Hugh Hefner....And that's just because instead of spending his money wisely, he decided to pay women to live in his house..And he's old...

The question shouldn't be why are they half naked. The question should be why aren't they fully naked?
