Why can't they just give Scorpion a different skull? Why can't they do anything new with these characters?

It does resemble Havik somewhat. I'm glad they've finally added the ability to damage and eventually remove clothing in battle. It just adds a more realistic element to the game. Hopefully we will get his skull head alternate costume from MKDA as I loved that. It added a great deal to Scorpion's personality, imo.

Sorry, but the flaming skull idea is so overused and overdone it simply kills it for me. A plain skull, with no lights in the eyesockets, traditionally MK1-2 style is the only Scorpion that has any quality. The rest is fluff, and as such, an unnecessary try to look hip.

Actually, it looks nothing like Havik...if anything Havik looks like Scorpion being that Scorpion came out way before Havik....hello? lol

And besides, Havik looked more "blueish and freakish" rather then flat out undead skull like Scorpion.

But anywho, Scorp looks fantastic with his mask busted off. I'd love to see that happen in the next movie or something, say a piece of his skull/jaw pops out.

I say, why not make scorpion's entire face a skull instead of having the extra havik skin over the top part of the mask.

Well, it kinda makes sense for the skin to still be there if just the mask is broken. But I'm sure it'll all rip off when he does his fatality

^^that's what I'm saying. His head is pretty much just a skull(as proven buy the lack of the face mask in the picture) which leads me to believe the little bit of skin is apart of the mask. Why not just lose the skin and avoid the comparison?(I know it's not enough people that care about it to actually happen, nor do I care if it happens or not....i'm just sayin)

Like it or not, that's why he's one of the most popular charactars in the series. Shows what we know I guess.

It's a real shame they spat out Havik for MKD, because without the baggage of that reference, this is a surprisingly good look!

I really expected something to go horribly wrong in the transition from masked, to unmasked. I figured the dimensions of the skull might make it look weird, or it just wouldn't look right. They seem to have managed to balance stylized dimensions with practicality, though. That's great!

If only they hadn't telegraphed their hand early, with Havik!
From a technical stand-point, it probably feels a little cheap to render the bottom half of the face with the skull, too. It might've been nice to retain the classic flaming skull with some sort of face melting transition, or something. Detachable parts doesn't feel impressive, but more like a distraction from other failings.

Oh so now he's taken Havik's look! Because it was of course Havik that could pull his face off and breath fire all over his opponent in MK1-MKT.
