New Ermac Deception Story Theory (possible spoilers)

Whilst I posted a theory on Ermac’s story a while ago, a few developments have nullified my old theory. Here is a link anyway.

SPOILERS!!!!!!

Raiden uses the ethereal blast by choice and this therefore nullifies my theory. This is in the opening FMV. I have also been doing some more research and found this extract in the Kontent on MK:DA.

The Dragon King died before his holy men could hatch the last known Great Dragon. So that his undefeatable army could join him when he was finally resurrected, they willingly allowed themselves to be ritualistically killed and buried within his tomb.

So this also nullifies my theory as I said that they were murdered. They were sacrificed willingly, unlike my theory.

I now have a new theory.

Shortly after the Dragon King’s death warriors willingly allowed themselves to be killed. This was so they could serve in his undefeatable army. When the warriors were killed their souls had to be stripped from their body for the spell to work. The souls of the warriors didn’t know that this was their fate. They still had the desire to fight for the Dragon King. It was at this time that they formed the ninja Ermac. The souls had decided to help in keeping the story of the last Great Dragon egg and the Dragon King’s resurrection secret. Ermac had successfully kept it a secret until Shao Kahn had taken rule as emperor of Outworld. One of Shao Kahn’s extermination squads had almost stumbled upon the Great Dragon egg. To stop this Ermac turned himself in to the squad. They took him to Shao Kahn. Shao Kahn ordered that he be killed. The extermination squad attacked but was easily defeated by Ermac. Impressed with Ermac’s telekinetic abilities, Shao Kahn ordered that he serve in his forces. Ermac agreed when he realized that he could keep Shao Kahn away from the Great Dragon egg. Ermac served in Shao Kahn’s attempted invasion of Earthrealm. In an angry rage after the failed invasion of Earthrealm, Shao Kahn threw Ermac into his dungeon. Ermac was left there until Shao Kahn’s death. The Earthrealm warrior Kenshi released him in turn for his help with telekinesis. Ermac has since learnt of the Dragon King’s resurrection. Ermac now serves as one of the Dragon King’s valued pillars of strength.

Any opinions, views, advice or criticism are welcomed.

The biggest thing wrong with this theory is that Kahn created Ermac from the souls of dead warriors. So it can't possibly work.

Though it's a nice theory.

That's not what his old bio says.

An enigma to all who come into contact with him, Ermac’s past remains shrowded in mystery. It’s believed that he exists as a life force brought together by the souls of extinguished Outworld warriors. Shao Kahn has managed to take possession of these souls, and use them to fight on the side of tyranny.

Is says that Shao Kahn had taken possession of the souls. It never says that Shao Kahn created him. Unless its some where else.

In that case, the theory is a good one. If this was the case, it'd be interesting to see what effect it has on Kenshis story and Ermacs status and story.

I know others believe that Kahn did create him and I was positive it did tell us this somewhere. I guess I'm mistaken.

You're probably right though. I couldn't find anything saying that. I'll have another look.

Very true. Those souls were ancient warriors. Very powerful kings, cursed to be controlled by the tyrany of Shao Kahn.

Excellent Story my friend! grin
