If you think it through...This song represents the Mortal Kombat franchise itself. Because, let's be honest, Mortal Kombat 4 was the games downfall. I swear, after Gold I just lost faith in MK, and went on about other games. Then it kind of died out abit. But when Deadly Alliance was released it sort of showed that MK will never die. And that it is a rebirth of my favorite fighting franchise.

Your thoughts?

Adema sucks, but they were nessecary as part of the marketing campaign to get MK back into the mainstream once again. But the song did grow on me after a while.

Well I hate adema ...

They could better put Slipknot in it.
Since that music gives me some kind of rage feeling.

I don't like the song or the band, but I do agree it represents the rebirth of Mortal Kombat.

Slipknot doesn't really remind me of MK in any way. It's more of a "Kill kill kill everything" type of game.

the song sucks for a fighting game,if you like the song it's alright, listen to it....but imo, band like Adema,Linkin Park ans all that stuff,is commercial music, bands that get popular just for being in fmtv and being in the music business just for money and not for loving the music itself....

Adema never became popular through MTV, because Adema never became popular ever.
Also, how do you know bands like Linkin Park don't enjoy making music for the love of it?
Does this mean that any band or artist that becomes popular or is recognized by the media instantly stops loving music? Sorry, it just sounds like a typical case of jumping on the "hate popular music because it's cool to do that regardless of why" bandwagon to me, which is really an oxymoron when you think about it.

Yeah i thought it was a good song choice, and although i didn't really like it, it got stuck in my head for a few days. It seemed to suit Scorpion himself more than the actual game or MK in general, but it was still a good choice.

1. I think that Slipknot sucks a hell of a lot more than Adema

2. I also don't think that Adema's songs are that good for a fighting game

3. I STILL would have rather heard Adema playing in the background of the fights instead of the crap music the game had. I can't stress this enough, NO OFFENSE to DAN FORDEN!

Just saying "no offense" doesn't really make it better if you say it's "crap".

There's NO WAY I could see Slipknot in an MK game. Not now, not ever. You know what band would have been perfect? KMFDM!

I agree. I don't know much about them, only the songs I've heard from the MK soundtracks, but I liked those. So I think KMFDM would be a good choice.
....................................................

But about Adema. I didn't like 'Immortal' at all, when I first heard it. BUT it started to grow on me, and I downloaded it and put it in my winamp. I've actualy come to like it! Not the best choice for MK, but I kinda like the song now...

I like hip hop too, but it should NEVER be in a MK game. It just wouldnt fit...

Maybe "Bodies" by Drowning pool...
I liked Adema's song. It fitted Scorpion pretty well. MK needs to go Guilty Gear as for music. They need some form of rock instead of the asian tracks, not dissing Forden or anything.

i think they cant go wrong with a Cannibal Corpse tune for Mortal Kombat.

maybe "Hammer Smashed Face" or
"Meat Hook Sodomy" or "I Will Kill You"

would suit the game better.

I gotta agree. "Bodies" would be a great song for MK:D now that I think about it and Papa Roach's "Blood Brothers" I could see working as well. I don't like Adema very much but I am a huge LP fan. In fact, they are my favorite band of all time. They definitley aren't in the music biz just for the money and if you listen to some of there songs you will notice that the lyrics are very personal and they put a lot of time into it. A lot of hip-hop artists now-a-days are only in it for the money. They get out one good song and the next thing you know, they have CDs coming out monthly and all it is is them rapping about their escaldes and swimming pools full of cash or how many chix they fuck daily. Anyways, it's true, LP was made famous by MTV but anyone who makes it with MTV deserves to be famous. You may not like MTV but like it or not you have to admit it is one of the buggest music competitions out there. If you can make it to the top of MTV you have basically made yourself famous with todays teen generation.

I remember playing "Way of The Warrior" for the 3DO (give yourself a gold star if you know who Gulab Jamun is) and that game used all White Zombie songs for the background music. It was okay at first and it kind of grew on you, but I would rather have original video game music for the backgrounds. Dan Forden could take a lesson or two from the Street Fighter II composer.

For example, how many of us can hum the tune of every single background in Street Fighter II? Now how many can hum 2 songs from the backgrounds of MK: Deadly Alliance?

The video that went along with the Adema song "Immortal" is what made it cool.

I would have to say that Cannible Corspse, Drowning Pool and Slip Knot would just not work in a fighting style game, sure the game involves blood and gore just like the songs but it just wouldn't work, if you try to make a martial art clip with death metal playing its just not good. Adema's Immortal is a rap/rock song and so the vocal tone and the speed of the instruments just suits it.

Yes the song does suit Scorpion because well he is immortal but not much else about the game is 'immortal'. I agree with most of you saying its about midway making Mortal Kombat a 'Immortal' game
