Wrong forum, but anyway. They are both part of Reptile's race, I think it's called the Zentillian race. Now only reptile remains, the race is practically extinct. I think they appeared in MK3, and we haven't seen them since.

in MKTrilogy, there were two extra ninjas: the female Khameleon (for the N64) and the male Chameleon (for the PS). Kameleon had all of the female ninjas moves and faded out transparently during the fight. Chameleon had all the male ninjas moves and changed color during the fight. while Chameleon had practically no story, besides that he is apparently one of Shao Kahn's generals, Kameleon was on a mission to bring Reptile back to his home in Zaterria or wherever to become king of the reptile race. while there is no evidence as to what happened to them, Kameleon is listed as an ally in Reptile's MKD bio card.

They're both transparent and fade in and out.

Khameleon (female) wears gray, and is from the same race of raptors as Reptile (as you said). They're from Zaterra.

The text in her lifebar changes color (green, purple, or blue) to reflect what moveset she can currently use (Jade's, Kitana's, or Mileena's).

Chameleon (male) has no intro or ending, they mention that he's one of Shao Kahn's warriors, and that's it. Probably not even a canon character. In addition to fading in and out of transparency, he changes color, too. Whatever color he currently is represent which moveset he can currently use (when he's yellow he has Scorpion's moves, when he's blue has has Sub-Zero's, etc.)
