Whats the difference between Mortal Kombat Trilogy N64 Version and PS Version
I just want to get this straight because i'm going to get my N64 back along with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark(my most favorite game) and i was either thinking of getting my Mortal Kombat Trilogy back on N64 or get it for the PS1 and just play it on my PS2. What I have heard is that for the PS version you get Motoro, Kintaro, and Goro and for graphic wise, N64 has somewhat "bigger" pixels, but PS1 has better graphics and sound, and for controls wise well i'm probably going to be more use to the N64 version controls than PS1 control but can someone tell me which version I should get? Thanks.
BOTH!
Here's some pros and cons for each so ultimately you decide.
PSX:
-Pros-
Includes more characters (classics, bosses, and unmasked sub-zero)
Better sound and grahpics
One Button Fatality cheat
Supreme fatality demonstration
Male Chameleon
-Cons-
Does not have female Khameleon
Doesn't seem to work well with PS2 after you beat kahn or get a game over screen. (so you can't see any of the treasures)
N64:
-pros-
IMO easier to combo
includes female khameleon
Includes SUPER SUB-ZERO (classic sub with all of the unmasked's moves)
Has a special mystery level
Unlimeted fatality time cheat
can uppercut to a new level more often
-cons-
worse sound and picture
less characters
NO CHAMELEON

MK2KungBroken, I respect you and everything and you are entitled to your own opinion, but why do you ALWAYS have to be so biased? If someone asks about a Sega version of MK, instead of answering their question, you give your personal opinion on the Sega versions and try to cram your view down their throats, and now thats what I see you doing here for MKT, instead of giving reasons why he should or shouldn't play which versions, you just tell him to completely stay away from one version without any reason to back up your statement, just take it easy please

"can someone tell me which version I should get?"
Pretty simple question. And the pretty simple answer that matches it perfectly is, get MKT for PSX and forget MKT for N64 ever existed.

You want me to go through the entire list of pros and cons for both systems?
I don't have time for it.
What I can tell you is, PSX is a more accurate port of the originally intended gameplay engine designated by the arcade's standards, being UMK3. N64 is far from it. He already knows PSX has better graphics, better sounds, better music, more characters.
Now did I really have to explain why?

MKT for PSX freezes a on PS2. There aren't any problems on the PSX unless there are problems with an individual console or copy of the game.

If you want to buy MKT for a Supreme Fatality Demonstration don't bother, you can download that.
Both have the Supreme Demonstration. PSX has the same as UMK3 so it's missing the new characters. N64 has the whole thing with all the new crap. So if you're buying the game for the SUPREME DEMO then yeah I guess go N64. If you want good gameplay and more worthwhile content go PSX.
The one time N64 was better for that supreme Demo was a prank a group of friends did in high school were we taped the entire thing and played it on our schools TV channel as a commercial during a basketball game or something.
