Well, both MKT and MK4 are very good games for them...and it is very hard to decide wither.

I say buy both. They are very cheap, and entertainment value is high! Especially if you havent played before! :D

MK4 for N64 is a good version of that game, but the game itself is pretty bad. MKT for N64 is a terrible version of that game. I say go with MKM:SZ.

MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero's a pretty fun game, until you reach the Prison of Souls... Remember these passwords: GTTBHR and TDFCLT.

I suggest not to buy MK4, it gets boring really quickly, haven't played MKT for N64 but i loved it for PS1 and MKM:SZ is a gd game, MKT i think wld b the best buy

I would go for MK4, because it is the best home version of that game. MKT and MKMSZ got the short end with the N64 versions.

So MK4 in my opinion.

Mythologies was indeed a fun game that doesn't depend on previous expectations from an original copy, MK4 is limited fun but it is closer to the arcade than MKT, which is fun in it's own right but it can be bothersome to listen to and/or look at, and if you care about the game playing the way it should I wouldn't get it and look for PSX and get these games for it instead.

My 101th visit woot. Anyways, its good to get Trilogy, I have MKMSZ and its ok and sorta fun but like Jerrod said after the Prison of Souls level it gets hard as hell and boring to play. I played MK4 its good but its boring sometimes and its better than the PS version which I have. All 3 games were pretty good but I think Trilogy is the best.

MKT for N64 is complete in the departments where the PSX was incomplete, before you guys explode let me explain:

Every Character has an ending, two fatalities, one friendship, one babality, one animality and one brutality in the N64 versions, in the PSX version there were more characters, but they lacked some of these abilities (i.e. classic characters missing second fatalities and endings, bosses missing finishing moves and endings and versus screen poses), also the PSX version is incomplete when it comes to music, while the music quality is much better in the PSX version, it still has its problems, the stage music stays the same during FINISH HIM, but in the N64 version you actually get to hear the music change when it says finish him, also in the N64 version you can hear the piece of music that ends the song whenever the winner is announced, in the PSX version it just comes to a sudden stop, also, every character in the game is featured in the Finishing Moves Demonstration in the N64 version, in the PSX version it is just of those from the UMK3 Arcade that are featured, so do not always take the biased advice of the people on these boards when it comes to MKT on N64 so get any MK game for the N64 that YOU want, not what they want

I agree with much of your post you've really convinced me, but I have to disagree with you somewhere. Having more characters, even not complete doesn't make the game more complete. Logically it makes it more complete than the N64 port doesn't it?

Most of what you are describing is only really affecting characters that the N64 doesn't have. Of those characters, many of the fatalities missing are ones that would have almost definately been missing if the N64 had those characters as well, since I doubt they were going to add in split in 2 frames, arm rip frames and such for every character.

On the plus side, MKT for PSX has MK1 Kano including a redone fatality, since his heart rip looked pretty bad in MK1, they use all new animation for it in MKT. He looks so happy.

Everyone should always buy the one they want. And, everyone should recognize that if you ask advice on something, you will be hearing about what the responders want. That's a given, and doesn't really need to be spelled out.

EDIT: Whoa. A just frames post.
