Yes, but there are problems once you get a game over. The most common one is freezing right after you beat kahn or when the "press start to continue" timer expires on 1 player.

They never fixed that on the newer PS2's? Huh, funky. I thought they would have.

DO you mean the the slims? I have both but my old one doesn't play dvd roms any more, that's why we got the new one but I actualy haven't checked trilogy on it.
EDIT: no it works the same. No difference.

The same thing happens on the slims. I thought my disc was just old and scratched before I read this post. I bought another disc off of amazon a few days ago. Too bad I didn't see this post first.

It wasn't a problem common to many games, it was more an individual problem with MKT, so I doubt they'd put the effort to try and fix on on PS2's end when I doubt Sony even sees it as their fault. The MK team probably did some hacks to get something working the way they wanted and broke it compared to some ideal standard for PS games.

My copy works fine, no glitches at all, except for the "Fatality Turbo Pummel Glitch!"
