It may seem pointless to you but the point of the thread is he is showing his love for Noob. So yes, I was right.

Whether it is pointless or not doesn't mean it doesn't have a point.

Simple answer is don't look at the thread. I just did and was amazed by the sheer number of Noob Saibot pictures. The only thing this could lead to is a thread for every character with tons of pics in each. That would become devastating. Cool pics though, great quality.
