Rain was in UMK3 also, playable on SNES and Genesis versions if I recall and rumored on the arcade/Saturn ... I think he was also featured in Fatality demonstration (some decap. thing).

I was talking about the arcade version of UMK3. Rain wasn't in that version. Although he may have been in the fatality demonstration... i'm not certain.

Noob Saibot was also in MK4, and MKG, I believe.

i introduced them as they first appeared in mk.
and i included tassia.

"tourch" and hornbuckle arent playable characters. "hornbuckle" is liu kang.

meat IS NOT a character. its an alternate costume for every character. meat doesnt have a story, fatality, special moves, nothign. its a costume. get over it.
and btw, the fire god isnt tourch. every time a character is on fire, some one says "hes tourch"..what ever.

LOL just because you can't play as a character doesn't mean they're not a character. And you couldn't hold start and press an attack button to be meat, you had to beat that one mode (I forgot what it was called) And Hornbuckle is not Liu Kang, because you can fight against Hornbuckle with Liu Kang. =P

What are talking about moron! You do not fight Hornbuckle, because first of all he hasn't ever been a secret character. And most importantly, he doesn't exist! If you want to count characters that were not playable nor secret, you could include the shadow priests and warrior monks. Thats stupid though, until one of them becomes on actual character, they cannot be included. Skarlet, was just like Ermac, except she was in MK2. I'm pretty sure she was just dubbed Skarlet by all of us, because I've never been able to see that glitch myself, and I'm not sure if it ever says 'Skarlet' in place of Mileena or Kitana. I am fairly sure it doesn't though.

I don't agree cause in Tekken 4 Eddy gordo its an alternate costume of Christie and doesn't have a story,and his moves are the same than christie's

I'd have to throw my lot in with the "Meat is a character" crowd. Granted, he's not a terribly well developed character. He has no moves of his own, nor does he have a storyline. But he DOES have his very own name, so it's obviously not just a "costume change". If Meat were merely a costume, then the fighter would keep his or her original name!

Smoke(robot form) was a hidden character in MK3.

I dunno who Hornbuckle is exactly but if you CAN play against him as Liu Kang, well, you can play against Liu Kang as Liu Kang too, does that mean Liu Kang and Liu Kang are two different characters?

Even though I do agree with you that Meat is a chracter, he never really got a name either. He just took the name of whomever you chose. His name is Meat because Ed Boon did state it was his name on his website when MK4 was coming to consoles, but it never said that in the game.
