Kano In MK 4 ?

I found that in wikipedia:

Like Kitana and Noob Saibot, Kano was also planned for MK4, however, due to there not being enough new characters in the game, they left Kano out of the roster and put Jarek instead of him. Jarek directly had Kano's signature moves and fatalities, which caused a lot of complaints from fans.

Someone heard it before ?

Yeah, but there is no proof that Jarek was originally Kano..
I mean, I need to see a IRC transcript or whatever with booN's or someone from the MK TEAM words on that..
I don't think Kano was in the game yet. They were planning on adding him, but thought up Jarek during the brainstorming session.

MK4 Jarek > MKA Jarek. Well, outfit anyways. I liked his throwing blade too.

Yeah..So DID they actually mentioned that they made Jarek instead of Kano,cuz there was lack of new fighters or this is a total fan-made crap ?

Check the trading kard vid for Jarek. They call Jarek the "Kano Character" for MK4.

Jarek in MKA is pretty good, well in the right hands like me for example hehe.

But yeah Jarek WAS the Kano of MK4.wink

Noob is playable but as a secret character...

And in MKG they put in Kitana, Mileena, Baraka, Cyrax and Sektor

Another member of Black Dragon was a nice idea but I didn't like Jarek being almost a total copycat of Kano in moves and fatalities. It should have been the same thing like with Kabal: he belonged to the same clan as Kano but he had his own moves, which were, moreover, some of the most unique and exotic. Jarek is a bland wannabe.

Well, Kira is a pretty blatant combination of Sonya and Kano in MKD.
