When he wears his mask, you can see his eyes.

Okay I see his eyes, but they don't look white or Japanese. He has no pupils. So I think his body looks just like it did before he died, just that he's a skull underneath his mask.

Scorpion as Hanzo Hasashi was a japanese Shirai Ryu agent who died at the hands of Sub-Zero, a Lin kuei assassin agent. Most probably he looked like (before his death) the way he did in MK1 where Scorpion had faded grey pupils. He is not of caucasian build at all concerning the face but I can see why this has been brought up.

Sub-Zero has some caucasian heredity as he was born from a chinese Lin Kuei and an American woman, and some time after his birth he has been transported into China. Sub-Zero has some caucasian details.

I figured the caucasion body thing was because in MK1 they say after his death he was given a new body and I figured that was their way of explaining why he was played by Daniel Pesina and John Turk who are not Japanese.

i think in scorpions ending in mk1 made him look like that because they couldn't find a real japanese guy.

MKM:SZ even says he is japanese in the game, you here quan chi say "ah yes your japanese counterpart" or something like that.

What about Ho Sung Pak, who played Liu Kang? He was asian. And since they used Johnny Cage's actor to play Socrpion, and not Liu Kangs'... My point is I highly doubt that it was an act of desperation.

IMO, Scorpion IS Japanese. After he was killed, he is still Japanese as a spectre despite his curse for having a skull instead of a human face. Sub Zero was mixed since he was born from a Chinese Lin Kuei member and an American woman. There goes the same for his brother. Scorpion and the other ninjas appear to be 'mixed' probably because they were played by white actors like Dan Pesina and John Turk.

Well, if you look at Scorpion in Shaolin Monks and such, he's got deep shadow in the eyes, so maybe they're going more for a demonic eyes rather than human eyes.

Well Scorpion is a demon. He has gone through many looks with his costume too. I hope he has something simple in MKA.

Another thing, Sub-Zero's real name nobody knows with the exception of Midway obviously.I did lots of research and I couldn't find anything revealing Sub's name.

You mean you can "see" his blury image with a pony tail looking thing on top of his head? In MK2 ending you see Sub-Zero as an Asian guy, but he looks nothing like that anymore.

by story, scorpion is japanese. by appearence in the old games, he isnt because the characters were capped from real people. when you have different actors playing the roles of the characters every game, the appearence is gonna change. ever since mk4, they were able to model the characters faces better..so their faces have changed quite a lot over the past few games.

they kinda goofed up the story to begin with. when scorpion was a ninja, he didnt wear yellow. after he was killed, "he was givien a new body and uniform witch mocked the lin kuei with its cowardly yellow color"...but in the ending you can see his human form, wearing the yellow suit, which he didnt have while he was alive.




so, the answer is, yes scorpion is japanese.

Actually if you play through Konquest mode in MKD, the Shiri Ryu (wrong spelling I know) wears yellow to mock the Lin Kuei. I know that Scorpion is Japanese in descent, but I heard some stupid story where he was a white guy from American and was called out for a mission where he got killed by Subzero. They even said he had beautiful American wife and kids. They even told me Sub-Zero is from America and said to go to a stupid MKM:SZ site which had a non canon storyline about sub-zero and scorp.

That;s pretty dumb,Scorpion and Sub Zero are both Japanese.

Actually from what I understand Scorpion is Japanese. Sub-Zero is half Chinese with a American mother who may be either white or Asian descent. After all an American is of every color and Sub-Zero doesn't look dark in skin color.
