Its all specualtion and u do have a good point but i dont think thats what is intenended for Frost and Sub-Zero story wise.

The chances of Frost being Sub Zero's sister are remarkably low.

Aside from similiarities between the two and other clues I seriously doubt that Frost could be Sub-Zero's sister, they might be related but distantly. Even if she was, they never had a brother-sister relationship so unless they decided to get married it really doesn't matter. The main reason for their similiarities might have something to do with both supposely being descended from that lost cryromancer (sp?) race. Sub-Zero's line being more 'purer' than Frosts thus having more power...maybe.

As for the topic, it's been speculated by some that Frost may be the long lost sister of Sub-Zero.
In an interview before MK:DA came out, someone from Midway said that she wasn't his sister...but this is Mortal Kombat after all. If they can say Johnny Cage never died....

If she is his sister, they haven't said. Just speculation as of now.

I don't think she's his sister. Didn't Sub's family die? Oh, and MeatLord's avatar is Meat from MK4.

1. That says he has a sister; that doesn't say his sister is Frost.
2. It never said that Sub-Zero's family were thought to be the only Cryomancers left. Never. That means that it's possible for there to be others with ice powers and not be related.
Whil I'm at it, I might as well point out other "similar powers" theories that don't have relation...
Smoke and Scorpion both have spear powers;
Shinnok and Scorpion can both summon giant skeletal hands from Hell;
Rain, Nightwolf, and Raiden can control lightning one way or another;
Goro, Kintaro, Sheeva, Quan Chi, and Hsu Hao can all leap great heights and stompp on their opponents;
Johnny Cage, Nightwolf, Jade, and Shao Kahn all have shadow-based abilities;
Don't get me started on how many ninjas could teleport punch.
The only one that is even similar and possibly familial is Sindel with her paralysing scream and Kitana with her paralysing fan. Still a stretch though.
3. I know a lot of girls who are younger than me and would be an appropriate age to be my younger sister; that doesn't mean they all could be my sisters.
4. Just because Subby sensed something in her when they first met doesn't mean they're related, just that he noticed something familiar, and he has every reason to feel that with her; she can freeze things. I'm willing to bet he's not seen many other people with that kind of ability in his life.
Though they both have roots in the ancient Cryomancer race, that doesn't even imply that they have any kind of blood relation to one-another whatsoever; I'm Canadian, and I have roots in Sicily, so if I were to meet another Sicilian, should I assume that he/she is my cousin? You can see that that logic is flawed.
Both Sub-Zero characters learned about their abilities as young men (I'd give that being at least 12). Though we're never told how old their little sister is when the family is seperated, I think Sub-Zero would be smart enough to know that the latest member of his new group has a resemblence to himself/mother/father and put 2-and-2 together and say "Frost is my sister!".

There's a huge difference between retconning a death and creating a familial relation between two characters who've shown anything but family love (random girl wins Lin Kuei tournament, trains with the leader, then tries to kill/incapacitate leader and obtain power, guy leaves her in a tomb he randomly finds [thinking she's dead no less] and steals a suit). lmao, that'd be like having Shao Kahn and Raiden being brothers! That'd be the stupidest thing ever! Where would such an idea come from?

the only times a sister was mentioned was during the conquest tv show, and during the early versions of the mksm story that was later scrapped for the final version of the game.

Actually it was mentioned on the official MKM:SZ website. Click here for details. It's generally considered canon that he has a sister, and it also explains the Asian/American roots.
