I believe he got those eyes when he returned from the dead as a specter. It's just one of his trademarks. I seriously doubt he had those eyes back when he was still Hanzo Hisashi.

in the konquest mode in deception, one of the characters in the netherrealm (forgot which one) said he would change if he stayed in the realm to long, maybe thats why scorpion has the eyes.

or maybe it just looks fuckin sick and boon or whoever threw it in there to improve his charcters vibe.

and btw, the scorpion in mk1 doesnt really count toward or against this because he was just a palette swap of sub-zero and if he had em, then so owuld sub-zero

Sindel was resurrected, so that could be one reason... another could be that once she has to defend herself by fighting, it happens.

Tanya's just seems like it happened because she turned into a self serving, evil siding harlette.
