if he does a stomp, counter with a straight up jump kick. If he does a regular jump, juggle him or uppercut. If he does a fireball, duck. He will never stop walking toward you, so walk backward and sweep right when he gets close enough, then jump kick after the sweep.

Or be a cheap ass and jump kick, walk back, jump kick, repeat.

I use baraka, if he jumps towards you or teleport stomps do barakas shredder move. but I tend to do the cheap tacic stated previously. works every time (unless he gets projectile happy)

Blade fury doesn't work against a teleport stomp.

Yep. I just tried it and you are right.

There are many ways to beat him... But if you want to be uber cheap, use this method: Pick any ninja before fighting Kintaro. Then, when the round starts, walk backwards till you're right infront of kano (mabye even a little farther). Now, use any method to defend yourself until he does the teleport-stomp. Let him stomp you, and then he should be in the corner of the stage, quickly make your way over there, and low punch him to death.

This is uber cheap, so if none of the other methods work, at least you got this one.

I just pick Sub-Zero, bait him to do the teleport stomp and, freeze him then push him into the corner and jab him to death. Problem solved.

I just call this the corner freeze trick, you can beat him with other characters like Kitana, Scorpion, Raiden etc but Subby you can "cheese" him with this tactic

It helps to keep on moving to avoid his telestomp.

People often forget to block, do this too.

Anyway unlike most cheap MK boss bastards, Kintaro is vulnerable to projectiles.


Try out every single special move for your character you've chosen and work out which ones work best and how often to use them


Sub Zero's freeze attack, Rayden's torpedo, Baraka's shredder, these are good ones to use.

Just try using kitana and her fan lip and jump kick fan combo and you will own him in no time
