Yes, what Keith said pretty much, Cyrax, Sektor, were automated ninjas built by the lin kuei.When they decided to automate their ninjas, these two among Smoke(who didn't escape but tried) were all automated into machines(cyborg ninjas) to kill Sub-Zero for leaving the clan.





Now here's something that most people don't know I bet,

Cyrax is unit LK-4D4
Sekor is unit LK-9T9

They also had nicknames by Ed Boon before he made up a name for them called Mustard and Ketchup.

Mustard was Cyrax and Ketchup was Sektor obviously.Then Boon came up with Sektor and Cyrax along with their techical names Cyrax LK-4D4 and Sektor LK9T9.

Sektor volunteered for Automation out of loyalty to his clan the Lin Kuei, this is the ONE definite cyber ninja that HAD NO SOUL unlike Cyrax and Smoke that actually still had a soul in MK games after MK 3.Sektor even up to this point in MK time has NO soul.



Sektor is the missle cyber ninja, Cyrax is the Net and Bomb ninja.

Although all three of them, Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke all have the self-destruct sequence being as how they are all cyborgs with it built in along with their weapons.


I can post their bios for every game that they are in, but I'm too lazy right now lol, you can go online and find that out.But I listed a few facts that you won't find, such as the nicknames Mustard and Ketchup early on.

But Sektor was my favourite of all three. Although I was never a fan of the cyber-ninjas. Machine men just never seemed to fit with the whole evil twisted universe look that MK had. But oh well, they're here now...

Aside the main story info you have already been told, there are some fun trivia details you and other people might not know. Here are some extracts from Sektor and Cyrax:

SEKTOR:

* He is John Tobias favorite Mk3 character.

* John Tobias revealed that they had ideas for Cyber ninjas for Mk2 but did not want to rehash one of the old ninjas, so with the official Mk2 Comic book they hinted that the Lin Kuei had advanced technology and that it was evolving, something that was planned to be used in Mk3.

* John Tobias: I think he was influenced by Boba Fett initially.

* Ed Boon: The roboninajs are just like the Batman of the fighting games. The chest is the utility belt. We just said, -lets think of weird stuff-. We wanted to give the perception of: -How much crap can be in this things chest?!-

CYRAX:

* Ed Boon: He reminds me of Scorpion, because he seems to be the character a lot of Scorpion players latch onto-in terms of who is going to replace their fave character who is not in the game anymore. He is the character with the weirdest moves so to speak. I have kind of an affinity for that.

Some stuff other ppl haven't mentioned:

Cyrax is more powerful in MK3 than in UMK3/MKT.
In MK3 his throw did not activate damage protection, his air throw did more damage (and didn't count as a hit in the combo meter, nor did it make that cool 'swoosh' sound when you do the first part)
In MK3 you could throw a net, and then a bomb - which was changed for UMK3.
His teleport is the slowest in the game I believe, and overall he is one of the hardest characters too use, despite having good strategies and high damage potential.

Sektor was improved for UMK3 thanks to the addition of the jump punch / kick starters, and he was greatly improved in MKT due to his double missle. I think he is low-mid tier in mk3+umk3.

In MKG, Cyrax can again be difficult to use, but this time because of the DC's crappy controller (though that's only from personal experience, can't speak for everyone). His air throw is especialy hard to do, and his bombs are pretty useless in the semi-3D environment. His light saber weapon is nice though.

Sektor is the undisputed best character in MKG.

Cyrax is the undisputed worst character in MKDA.

Dunno anything about Sektor in MKTE.

*Their masks are based of the Predator movies, but early on there was the possibility that they would have a "Boba Fett" (sp?) style helmet.
