They were alright in MK3, but when UMK3 - MKT came around, they just didn't even care anymore. A monkey? A penguin? Come on.

I argree with that. Mk3 had good animalities. They just want dried up in umk3 and trilogy.

You know, Animalities would be a great addition to all the 'alities. If they would make a Animality that would fit everyone perfect, like Liu Kang's, Animalities in the MK games would not be an issue. As for Scorpion's, a penguin, what the hell man, WTF does a penguin have to do with Scorpion, let alone MK in general. A giant scorpion, would be more like it! MK needs to get rid of all the goofiness the have did in the past. Such as the babality, get rid of THAT please. When I first saw that in arcades I was thinking, what the hell did Kung Lao just turn into. Then I saw it was a baby. Okay, yeah, they made that so they could prove to the nation that the game can be non-violent in some way. They don't seem to care about the violence now, look at Deception, holy balls man, talk about blood and gore. Anyways, the nation should not be sticking their nose up MK's ass and saying: "oh thats too violent, that could influence someone to do that to another citizen in this country." U know what I say to that, FU! Yeah, I'm going to go outside after playing MK games and take two swords and chop someones head off with them. Yeah, um, I know the difference between reality and just plain fun and hobbies. The Friendship move was just fine for that scenario, not the babality.

Anyways, back on the topic, they need to revamp the Animalities for the better of MK. I would love to see Animalites in the future of MK, that actually make sense! Okay, I have calmed down now, and I am going to relax on this topic.

Animalities suck.

Am I the only one that likes animalities? I laughed my arse off when subzero turned into a penguin. I like them, thier either funny, or worthwhile.

That was Scorpion's animality, not Sub-Zero's.

A couple of them are OK in my book. I like Cyrax's shark and I like the killer bunny and crazy kitty from MKT (Kitana and Jade I think).

Most of the others are pretty worthless to me.

Then there are the really bad ones. Mainly Kabal's and Liu Kang's. Liu's is not terrible all by itself but for being a terrible remake of an excellent MK2 fatality, its terrible.

I never understood why they made them fluorescent in MK3 It's just really weird, and amplifies the lameness ten fold. Maybe if they were like the UMK3/T characters Animalities they wouldn't have been AS bad.

However, the only ones that are decent for me are Liu's MK2 and MK4 dragon and Scorpion's MK4...er...scorpion. Which were both Fatalities...why didn't they do that kind of imaging for the MK3 series Animalities? Then maybe they wouldn't be considered in the same boat as Babalities and Brutalities.

One good thing to come from them - means you have to do a MERCY, which always kicks ass.

well like said the Animalitys were much better in MK3, then they just got stupid in UMK3-- The Peguin was the worst. and yeah the whole floresent/glowing neon stuff was also just lame.

But yeah It would be cool to see some Good Sensible animalitys... i would like to see the People Morph into the animals.

Agreed. The fluorescent lighting was lame. Liu's MK2 dragon was definitely better than the MK3 one. Scorpion's MK4 fatality was quite good too in MK4 along with the MK4 version of Liu's dragon. Everyone else... meh. Reptile's animality didn't suit him well.

I'd love to see some good animalities (a girl morphing into a wolf would pwn, but Nightwolf's got that animal)

The lamest was Raiden's animality in MK: Trilogy. He's a god and they had him become an electric eel. >.<

I've always thought it was a good idea to make them look this way. Because it implies that characters aren't literally transforming into animals, but rather than that, they're unleashing their animal instincts, their actual animalities. That's why they look more like animal spirits.

But later, I was a bit disappointed with the Animality inconsistency in MKT, 'cause as you know, added characters morph into animals, not their "spiritual forms". Moreover, they definitely changed this finishing move's characteristic and Animality became more funny (or lame) than fierce and brutal.

No. I like Animalities, too. And their original concept from MK3 in the first place.

out of all the alits besides fatalites i like animalitys the best i thought they were unique and funny it would be nice if they would make some 3d animalites for the new mk games and they were realistic not flurescent shinny animals like in mk3 - mkt.

Let me set the obvious one:


Scorpion: What did they smoke or take to make him a penguin. Sheeva got the Scorpion, Scorpion should have been a F*^#ING Scorpion! Not SHEEVA! They should have taken the Blue Pill, not the 0range one.

I like animalities, but I just HATE wrong animalities.Like ones that have obvious people like SCORPION being a F%^&*ING PENGUIN.And ones like REPTILE being a MONKEY. They should have made him a gecko. But most others are ok.

Scorpion as an animal was just to cool to not be included in the first set of Animalities in MK3. And since Scorpion (the character) wasn't there, they gave it to someone else. Later, when the ninja came back, it was rather weird to give him Sheeva's Animality, so he got... other animal
But the new quality of Animalities after MK3 is another story.

I disaprove of certain animalities...but not all. For instance: I only do Kung Lao's animality sparingly. Because A. It seldom works and B. It's just plain boring and follows the same basic formula as Jax's animality (though Sub Zero's worthwhile attempt is forgivable.)

I personally enjoy Kitana and Jade's animalities for their high level of humour and violence.

IMO Scorpions is underrated as well.
