BTW They only had fatalities performed on Sub-Zero and Scorpion.

This is probably because they will have to adapt animations to different body size (specially the big guy) and as Sub-Zero and Scorpion have similar body structure they probably only have them finished for that kind of body.

If he means where's the shot of all the Elder Gods surrounding Raiden ORIGINALLY from, it's from one of the character bio videos NRS put on Youtube to hype MK9 years ago. It's either Raiden's or Liu Kang's, can't remember which.

It's not like MK fans aren't notorious for bitching about nostalgia. You can give them nearly back to back games (MKA and MK 2011) to appeal to their needs and they still want more. I, for one, have a renewed interest in this franchise. It has been FAR too long since we have seen an ounce of creativity in terms of design and the special moves/fatalities. I absolutely cannot wait to see what other surprises the development team has in store for us and how these newbies can integrate with the oldies.

Wasp lady almost makes me forget about Sindel killing half the cast...almost. tongue

Agreed! The sheer amount of moves everyone seems to have is ridiculous. This is one of the main things I was hoping for from the next MK and they really seem to be delivering!!

Kind of funny I think, considering in Deadly Alliance they were trying to tone everyone's special count down.

Yeah, seeing that little person scamper around the stage when the Big Man is knocked around is just gonna take a lot of getting used to. I really wish Big Man was his own character and not just some circus freak controlled by a dwarf. How are the fatalities gonna work on him/them? Is Big Man gonna get killed and little person just runs away? Come on.

I am kind of miffed that Subz and Scorpion seem to have entirely different combos and hits (at least in these forms) compared to MK9.

Honestly, I was really hoping the movesets would be fairly consistent, so you don't have to keep relearning all the combos game-by-game.
Oh well. Maybe they'll be even better.
not sure if anyone noticed but there's a third stage shown when the Ladybug does a fatality on Sub-Zero.

Looks weird....kind of reminds me of The Drum Arena from DA where people are just standing around watching the fight

It's definitely not the Dragon Medallion that's for sure. The symbol also doesn't look like any previous symbol I think. Maybe somehow Sub-Zero gets a different medallion, possibly in relation to cryomancers? Who knows.

Also, it sounds like Sub-Zero really did say "I tire of maintaining OUR innocence." My initial guess is that Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang and he's talking about himself (maybe because Quan Chi said something to Scorpion to pit him against Kuai Liang similarly to MK4?) and Bi Han. Not quite sure though seeing as we know so little.

After watching the trailer for the second time I love Scorpion even more than i ever have and I like Sub_Zero as well but Scorpion is my number one. grin

While it's still very early... from a gameplay perspective, this insect lady seems like she might be quite annoyingly evasive. And those stabbing/slicing moves she has with her appendage(s) cover some ground.

Hmm...you know how Sub-Zero's mask falls off in the first trailer. Maybe if that happens during the fight, a mask of ice is formed in replacement. Hence why Sub-Zero's mask is all icy and glowy perhaps?

I kinda get the feeling that this might be the Mortal Kombat game that Boon's wanted to make for a long time. Possibly since before MKvsDC.

Sub-Zero voiced by steve blum aka spike.The only thing I hated was sub getting the beats put on him again.Come on MK fans can't be this picky the change is great the new characters add so much more depth isn't that what we want??
