I desperately want Tanya but I think given how the resolution is shit at the moment, that might be an alternate for bug chick.

Also I'm pretty sure that's another shot of Bug Lady, not Tanya.

The 3rd character looks badass, and apparently may have some connection with the storyline.

Btw one little detail that I like:

In the other game Sub-Zero's character concept art had 2 blue bands behind his head that the 3D model didn't have.

It's like all they want are rehashes of the games they already like. They need to move the fuck on. Times have changed.

I'm quite disgusted at how strongly the hate is. You guys barely know anything about this game. How on Earth can you make such a strong judgment against so quickly? You guys are hopeless if it only takes this much to displease you.

A few thoughts after re-watching a couple of times:

The New characters remind me alot of Injustice as far as designs: Bug lady (Raven) Blue Guy (Ares) Big guy (Bane)...They do look refreshing for Mortal Kombat however and they already have tons more personality than the newbies introduced in the last few games...It's nice to finally see different body types in MK too!... I'm definitely intrigued!

I may not like their designs at the moment (or they haven't grown or click with me yet) but I hope we get more information on the new characters in a day or so and not just "this is this move, that move, heres a fatality and here's their names."

I'll admit he's the one I hate the least.

These new characters do seem much more outlandish and comic-bookesque, but I have to keep reminding myself that shokans, centaurs, oni etc all exist in this series. Get past that initial shock and they look fun as hell and pretty damn cool.

So I keep going back and forth. I love that we have some legit new characters, which is great. It makes me wonder a little which direction the story is actually going, but I prefer that to them just rehashing MK4-MKA with some story changes.

I'll be really curious to see the next group of characters and who's new, who's from previous games and what roles they'll all play.

The fighting was awesome and felt more organic and somehow improvised than any fighter I've seen in a very long time. Possibly ever. That said, I kinda hope they tone down the stage interaction a little, as that has the potential to get a bit too gimmicky, but I have a feeling that I'll probably be left high and dry on that.

Overall though, this game shows loads of potential. Great evolution on NRS' last two games and I can't wait to see more!

I think the bug lady looks cool. I could've doen w/o the Chang/Choi rip off just the big guy would've been fine.

Anyway also I LOVED interactables in Injustice, but they shouldnt be in MKX. Interacables are INJUSTICES gag, if not only that game why bother?

We shall see we shall see.... I hope they give a way to turn em off or removem completely. MK NEEDS more combo breaker options not interactables.

SUCH a relief seeing different body types and actually interesting costumes. Finally, a chick not just thrown in a bikini. Awesome job team, awesome job. Everything finally looks serious and (as much as a game about fantasy realms can be) realistic.
