Yep. I'm just suggesting it as a note for the front-page news post. An Elder God apart from Shinnok actually stepping up (or falling down) to fight against the cast is pretty major, and I'm seriously intrigued. For decades in our history they've made it a point to not get involved...
In reaction to Sub-Zero, I thought his VO was GREAT. Don't get me wrong I thought Jim Miller's VO was good in MK vs. DC and MK9, but over time it kind of got generic and bland. I'm glad Boon changed the VOs. Oh and Patrick Seitz as Scorpion STILL AWESOME :B

It could be possible that the Aztec looking guy is somehow connected to Onaga. I don't know why but something about him reminds me of the Dragon King. I'm ruling out him being some kind of God because in his fatality he uses a knife to open up Scorpion's chest. That sound extremely lame for a God. He could be one of the few faithfuls left, still worshipping the fallen leader or he could in fact be Onaga. a younger version who has not taken over Outworld yet. That is plausible IF the alternate realities/timelines rumors are true.

Here's what I got out of this thread. Saying you don't like the new characters will get you bashed for "not giving them a chance." And saying you do like them will get a response stating why they suck. I don't really see any way out of that. So I'm keeping my opinion to myself.

Well now you just created the third variation: publicly declaring that you won't say how you feel... and for that, you are automatically a terrible person Just kidding obviously, but just satirizing the fact that you're right, you can't seem to give one opinion or the other.
But on that note, it's about time this 22 year vet of MK throws his own two cents in *reaches for two pennies in his pocket, only finds melted candy and a movie ticket stub* Hmm, well...
ANYway, to tell you all the truth... I'm LOVING what I see so far! Watching that gameplay footage last night transported me back to fall of '93, when I saw the first blurry camera images of Mortal Kombat II in Electronic Gaming Monthly: I didn't recognize most of the characters, but it looked dark and brutal and I wanted more!
And after eight years of no new MK characters (I believe Taven and Daegon were the last two, not including Skarlet), I'm welcoming these awesome freaks with open arms

Within Aztec civilization, human sacrifice was a common religious rite. The implication and confirmation here would be that the Elder Gods are indeed the source of all religions and beliefs - which is for the record, awesome - as apart from a cursory mention of Lucifer and the Asian mythology from whence Raiden and Fujin originate, not much in terms of humanity's religions has been acknowledged in the MK mythos.
I don't see how he could be connected to Onaga apart from being kinda green and bearing vague dragonian imagery.

There's also Nightwolf knowing Raiden by the name "Haokah".

Ohh my gosh, WTF is this? Those hooded moskitoes and flying, screaming babalities? What realm are those aliens from? I am just bewildered LOL.
I am amazed by this weird trailer. I cannot deal with such epicness and grandiosity.
This game will be the best fighting game in 2015. I am not ready. This game will punch me in the face.
Scorpion and Sub-Zero kontinue to get better with every new MK game that comes out. It's so majestic.
I just need a PLAYABLE TANYA to be in this mess of an epic game. 2015.
Wow.

So, where can we watch MKX today, seeing as TRMK has said there probably won't be anything new from them today.

Listen to the MK9 "FATALITY" and the MKX one....I swear I think it is different. Much more dark and sinister

Uncertain. Ed said there would be stuff going on today, though, and apparently "all day at E3."
RT @TuSamJa @noobde Can we expect anything MK related on E3 today? Will we see something new? EB: yea, still lotta new stuff

It's kind of disheartening that the only website rep at the show isn't getting anything new today. More disheartening that there's a ton of new information, yet neither IGN or Gamestop have this game on tap today.

Another note; the final fatality in the trailer performed on Sub-Zero is actually CG if you pay close attention. Could this mean that (a part of) fatalities, once performed, switch to CG fatalities? Not sure what to make of this...

That, Moloch was a canaanite deity, it is mostly a anthromorphic representation of war and destruction. Same with Daegon, Dagon was a god of the seafaring people or Philistines.

I'm pretty sure that's all ingame.
I'm kinda torn at this point.
On one hand, seeing new characters got me crazy hyped, and I obviously want to see more.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure I remember one of Boon's tweets where he said that pretty much everyone from MK9 will be making a comeback. If that's true, that doesn't exactly leave a lot of space for any newcomers. I hope they haven't blown their load by showing us these two upfront.
Another problem with the newcomers is that they'll have to fight an uphill battle in the community any time they're introduced, because MK fans are without a doubt the biggest bunch of nostalgiafags ever.
I think that's part of the reason why the newcomers from MK4 and onwards were so disliked - because we had a whole bunch of them dumped at us with every new game. I still think they will try to eventually bring those characters into the NT (properly redesigned and reimagined, of course), but now that they're not working in Midway's Mortal Sweatshop, they have the luxury of reintroducing them gradually, one-by-one, to make sure the fanbase will be more accepting of them.
If I'm right about this, it means that we probably won't be seeing any more newcomers for quite a while.

Not officially, but go to P3 of this thread and check out the pics; if that's not the highlighted Elder God Raiden was kneeling in front of I'll eat a sack of hats.

Don't know if this has already been said, but...what if they are "create-a-characters?"
Don't particularly see why people wouldn't at least want to speculate that they're the same guy; a lot of thought clearly went into those preliminary god designs; makes sense they'd be put to use. I think it's him. If you'd rather not for whatever reason, fine by me.
