I know what you mean. This is going to "bug" me all day (haw haw).
Yesterday, after my, perhaps 4rth day in a row of 4 hours of sleep, I vowed last night would be the night I catch up on sleep...at least a good 7 hours. So then I decide to check the website ONE more time before bed....and find the trailer. Yep, my plan to catch up on sleep totally failed.
I just HAD to look....

The PS4 conference begans at 3 o'clock in the morning... i slept at this time :D i waked up at 7 o'clock and checked MKO and i couldn't believe what i see. My dreams came true. It's darker, faster and freakier :D it gaves me a mk2 feeling.
I also love the new fighters. to be honest it's about time to invite some new fighters. i'm tired of kira, jarek and co.. Now they have the opportunity to create some brand new. All the new Fighters seems to have their own theme. I'm really happy now and so damn curios what awaits in the future. can't wait for 2015 :D

Well, you have to defeat the big guy first, then you're left with a choice of either saving the little girl or draining her of ADAM to help power you're character up.
Seriously, out of all the comparisons that have been mentioned here not one Big Daddy / Little Sister?

Let the MK team free to express theirselves. New characters means new fatalities, new moves new x-rays, new fighting strategies, new stories and also new background stages based on them (with new pitfatalities) and goes on. If they stick to the old same pattern they cannot use their imagination and creativity. MK9 was a classic awesome MK game, we all enjoyed and still enjoy. But we need something new. And MKX is giving it us. I like it very much so far. Great graphics, extra detailed new fatalities, enviromental interaction and all the new things I mention above. If someone is afraid of the new or don't like it can play MK9. The game exists.

Someone has definitely already made that comparison hahaha I'm almost positive someone did on the forum
Or the King of Fighters Choi partnership.
So we have confirmation that we have an aztec-inspired warrior in the roster. I am pleasantly surprised, since I cannot stand ani mezoamerican or south american folk design. This however does look somewhat finely tuned, and thankfully not overdesigned.
Is it me, or did they have the tag-team partnership tested with Noob-Smoke? Well, it sorta came into play with MK9, but maybe the behemoth/muppet duo might have been thought up sooner than we might think.

MKX's bringing what the franchise was needing. MK9 was incredible but too much of the same. I loved the 3 new characters, just hope they have a good story and markable interaction...I don't want them to become mere punching bag as reptile, sheeva and baraka were in mk9...x-ray moves are freaking awesome and the 2 new stages are very interesting...I can't stop watching the last gameplay video and after the first time I saw, I was like OH MY HEEAARTT, MKX GONNA BE THE BEST MK EVER!!!

That is really nice. It really got a darker look, and that is awesome. Can't wait to see what they've done with Kitana, she looked so misterious and a real assassin on MK2, hope she get that look again. That blue character reminded me of Ogre from Tekken!

Well....after seeing the trailer a few times, I have to say that I'm honestly quite hyped for the game now. I've been rather cynical towards the series for a while, and I'm still not happy with how MK 2011's story turned out or how most of the characters were portrayed.
This new game has a much darker look and feel to it while still having elements of humor. Having a good ambiance really helps with a game series like this, and I'm so glad that we're getting something much better. I do like Scorpion's look in this game much more than the crappy looks he had in MK 2011 and MK vs. DC. It's very interesting to see different play styles for each character, and I'm very excited that Sub-Zero can pick up his Ice Clone and throw it at opponents. I'm really hoping that his overall gameplay will be much stronger. If he really is voiced by Steve Blum, that's a trip.
As for the new characters, I'm quite surprised, and honestly, I'm open to them. We need newness and freshness to this series. Having said that, it would be nice to have some new characters that touch more on that East Asian mythological style, because I don't want that to be discarded.
I love the look of the stages, and I hope the music for the game will be bold and exciting like Killer Instinct's music. This series needs to go back to the music quality of games like MK: Deception and MK: Shaolin Monks. The music in MK 2011 and Injustice just felt underwhelming and drowned out, especially in the latter game.
It's cool to see that there are stage interactables and that they are apparently more geared towards moving across the screen as opposed to having a lot of items to throw at opponents. It's great to see x-Ray attacks again, and if we are getting more than one per character, that's nice too. I would like to see 4 bars of super meter per character like in Injustice instead of the 3 like in MK 2011.
I'm curious as to what the other gameplay mechanics will be like. I'll be quite content with the 4-button control scheme from MK 2011. I would like to see more unique-looking jumping and crouching normal attacks as well as other good defensive options.
So yeah, I can't wait to see and hear more about this game. At the same time, I don't want to get too hyped, because we've only seen a little bit so far. I want NRS to really push this game and this series far to where it makes great improvements.

Here's what I got out of this thread. Saying you don't like the new characters will get you bashed for "not giving them a chance." And saying you do like them will get a response stating why they suck. I don't really see any way out of that. So I'm keeping my opinion to myself.

Did anyone else kinda hear that the voice saying "FIGHT" "FINISH HIM" and "FATALITY" sounded like Quan Chi? I could just be looking too far into it but could Quan Chi be the primary boss to this game?

To me, it sounded like the same announcer voice from MK 2011. I wasn't really much of a fan of that voice, to be honest. I want something more like MK4's announcer voice. That's one of my favorites.

Sounded the same as MK9 to me

I may be wrong, but at 2:38, I think the big new guy got his face uncovered...looks pale and shiny...and looks like he's laughing...but if you look to the midget...it looks different too...looks bald, different to the visual we see at the beginning...so it also can be an alternate costume....

It was already mentioned by T-Rex in one of the previous pages. I think he can be a fallen elder god or just a dude cosplaying as an elder god for lulz. I don't think an actual elder god would take place in mortal kombat.
