Pretty cool. Overall respectful to the MK tradition so far in that this is exactly the type of clashes you'd expect Sonya, Jax, and Kano/the Black Dragon to have gotten into in the past, except for the bit about the heroes working for the police instead of the military, which actually makes a bit more sense, I'd argue. Bodes well for future episodes.

Finished watching it. It was a lot better than I thought it would be! Can't wait for the next episode to debut.

Not bad!! Just as I expected, it was a lot of fun, but not enough can be put in 10-minute episodes. I really did die when I got hit with "To Be Continued"... They were doing all that slow-motion close-in shit like Sonya's about to take this bitch to another level, and then "BAM!" X_X See you next week, folks!

This was pretty awesome. I just wish the episodes were at least 20 minutes. Overall it's great. And Kano was very sexy.

The plot, if I heard right, involved the Black Dragons having stolen tech from the Department of Defense's robotics division (hinting at Jax's future arms) and were building weapons out of it to ship to a mystery client, which we can all guess is the Lin Kuei. Also, Kano's laser eye's bulb was obviously introduced.

The rough draft cyberninja helmet could certainly double as Kabal's future mask, though. It had two gold tubes on the top instead of dreads, like where his hair sticks out from.

So...yeah, all the tech in the MK universe tied together.

I honestly didn't expect much at all from this... Wow, already shit loads better than Annihilation. It is however unfortunate that the episodes are so short. Great episode though. I am so psyched for the second one.

Hope these shorts lead up to a full length MK movie like has been rumored.

I hope it leads up to one too. And yes, the episodes are very short. But we gotta crawl before we can walk. I'm sure if he does another season he'll extend the running time.

I think they pretty smartly connected Black Dragon and Lin Kuei using this tech staff without being ridicuolus,don't you think?

It works, I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was made canon in the games that Kano's eye and Sektor and Cyrax's tech came from the same place or inventor, and the Black Dragon certainly has the underworld ties and rep as the world's biggest and baddest gun running cartel to do something like supply a secret ninja clan and keep it on the down low.

The DoD theft bit is particularly clever too. That way none of the Black Dragons themselves are geniuses, it's all second-hand.

Depends on MK9,if they show that they know each other,then there is none from me,but if they don't,then I don't know why they included Stryker in this episode.

Well Sonya and Jax are cops instead of military in Tancharoen's universe, it seems. Them working with Stryker makes sense in this context.

In the games, there's not a lot of reason for them to be connected prior to meeting in MK3.
